Wheat Free Dog Cookies

If you have a dog that has food sensitivities, you can be certain to give them treats that have healthy ingredients for them when you do the baking! The recipe below is a great treat for your pup and uses ingredients that we have around the house- so they are people friendly as well! Since these treats are wheat free- they will be sure to please the pups that have allergies. We used potato starch as a flour substitute. It can be found in the health section of many grocery stores and is what makes these a great wheat free cookie option! Watch our segment on KELOLAND Living here!

Additional Tips for At-Home Baking for Your Dog

Make sure to get items without added sugar. When using yogurts, ensure they are the plain types, that don’t have flavor. When flavor is added to items like yogurt they add sugar! Also, avoid artificial sweeteners, as dogs process these differently than humans and they can be toxic (such as xylitol).
